Design Elements: Parallel Wall System, Rubble Masonry, Steel Beams

 

This project focuses on detailing out the design for the community center. Here, the mixed use of stone (random rubble masonry), concrete and steel has been experimented with. The formation of user-friendly space has been one of the main pointers to be kept in mind while designing the community center. The climatic aspects like light, wind and rain shelter have been taken care of through design flexibility for the ease of use during all times of the year. Materials used are local and easy available; this exhibits the quality of importance of funds. The dimensions of spaces have been derived after activity mapping experiments and anthropometric interventions.
